Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how the FitGame iPhone app and its online service (together, “FitGame”) handle information about you. FitGame is provided by Fracta LLC (“Fracta”, “we”, “us”), 5900 Balcones Drive, STE 100, Austin, TX 78731, USA, which is responsible for the information described here.
Summary
Where your information lives depends on what it is:
| Where | What |
|---|---|
| On your iPhone | The live camera view used to track your movement and count reps during a game. Our servers do not receive camera images, video or audio (see Camera). |
| Sent to our servers | Your account identifiers from Sign in with Apple, your profile, game results and session statistics, challenge activity, workout logs and routines you save, safety reports and blocks, subscription status, and your notification device token. |
| Stored in our database | The information above is stored in a MySQL database on our server, linked to your FitGame account. |
| Exchanged with Apple | Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases and subscription status, and push notification delivery (APNs). |
| Shared with other services | Our hosting provider, and an email delivery provider used only to alert our team about player reports. |
We do not receive your payment card details: purchases are processed by Apple. We do not sell your personal information.
Information we collect
Account information (Sign in with Apple)
FitGame accounts are created with Sign in with Apple. When you sign in, we receive and store:
- The stable user identifier Apple assigns to you for FitGame.
- Your email address, if Apple shares it. If you choose “Hide My Email”, this is an Apple relay address.
- Your name, if you choose to share it the first time you sign in.
- A token from Apple that lets us revoke FitGame's access to your Apple ID when you delete your account.
- An internal FitGame account ID, the date you joined, your onboarding progress, your preferred units (metric or imperial), and the last time the app loaded your account.
After you sign in, the app uses a session token issued by our server to authenticate your requests.
Profile
- Username and optional display name.
- Avatar choice (one of the app's built-in avatars).
- Country and, for the United States, state — used for leaderboards.
- Your fitness goal, if you select one (for example, “build muscle” or “compete”).
- When you last changed your username or region, to apply the change limits.
Games, scores and challenges
When you finish a camera game, the app sends a summary of the session to our servers. This includes:
- The game, time limit and rule version; start time, end time and duration; and your score.
- Movement statistics computed on your device, such as valid and invalid rep counts, rep timing, form and tracking-confidence measures, how often tracking was lost, and camera frame-rate statistics.
- How many attempts you started, completed or aborted.
- Technical details about the app and device: app version, iOS version, device class, and the name and version of the motion-tracking component used.
- Whether the session passed our fair-play checks, and an integrity fingerprint of the submitted data.
- Your country and state at the time a record is set.
For challenges we store who challenged whom, each turn's score, deadlines, attempts, and the result. We also store your personal bests, your all-time and weekly Rank Points, and your position on leaderboards.
Workout logs and routines
If you log workouts or save routines, we store the exercises, sets, weights, reps, durations, distances, effort ratings (RPE) and notes you enter.
Safety: blocks and reports
- Players you block, and players you hide from your recent-players list.
- Reports you submit about another player: the reason, any details you write (up to 500 characters), and the reported player's username at that time.
Subscriptions and purchases
To know whether your account has access to FitGame Pro, we receive information about your subscription from Apple, including the App Store transaction identifiers, the product, subscription status, billing period and trial dates, whether it is set to renew automatically, and notifications Apple sends us about subscription changes (such as renewals, cancellations or refunds). We do not receive your payment card or billing address.
Push notifications
If you allow notifications, we store your device's Apple Push Notification service (APNs) token, an installation identifier generated by the app, the app version, and the delivery status of the notifications we send you.
Technical logs
Our servers log each request they receive, including the IP address, the request method and address, the response status, size and timing, and the date and time. Our web server may also record standard information such as your browser or app's user-agent string.
Camera
FitGame asks for camera access so it can track your movement and count reps during a game. Camera access is required to play camera games.
- Our servers do not receive or store camera images, video or audio. The FitGame service only accepts small data messages, has no way to upload media files, and does not store files.
- What our servers receive is the session summary described above — the score and movement statistics computed on your iPhone.
You can turn camera access off at any time in iOS Settings > FitGame.
How we use information
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To run games, verify sessions for fair play, and record scores and personal bests.
- To run challenges, apply deadlines and attempts, and calculate Rank Points and leaderboards.
- To show your public profile to other players and help you find rivals.
- To check and restore your subscription access.
- To send the push notifications you allowed.
- To review reports, enforce our Terms of Use and protect players.
- To operate, troubleshoot and secure the service.
What other players see
Other FitGame players can see your username, display name, avatar, country and U.S. state, and the date you joined, along with your scores, challenge results and leaderboard positions. They cannot see your email address, your name from Apple, your units or your subscription status.
Notifications sent to a rival include your display name or username and your score (for example, “Alex scored 18 push-ups. Your turn!”).
Who we share information with
- Apple — to provide Sign in with Apple (including revoking access when you delete your account), to verify App Store purchases and subscription status, and to deliver push notifications through APNs. Apple's handling of your information is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
- Hosting provider — FitGame's server and database run on Amazon Web Services (Amazon Lightsail).
- Email delivery provider (Resend) — when a player submits a report, our team is alerted by email. That email contains the report ID, date, reason and written details, and the usernames and internal account IDs of the reporting and reported players. It never contains a player's email address.
- Other players — as described in What other players see.
- Legal reasons — when we believe disclosure is required by law, or necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of players, FitGame or others.
Practice opponents
FitGame may include practice opponents, such as Alex, Brandon and Max, whose responses are generated dynamically by FitGame. They are operated by FitGame and receive no information about you beyond the challenge results you share with them.
Analytics and tracking
The FitGame server does not include analytics, advertising or cross-app tracking services. This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account from the app at any time — see Account Deletion.
When you delete your account:
- Access to the account stops immediately, and we ask Apple to revoke FitGame's Sign in with Apple authorization.
- Your account and everything linked to it is deleted from our database: profile, game sessions, scores and personal bests, challenges and turns (including challenges with other players), Rank Points, workout logs, routines, blocks, notification devices and subscription status.
Some limited records are kept after deletion:
- Player reports are kept as a safety record. The report's link to the deleted account is removed, but the reason, details, date and the username snapshot remain.
- App Store subscription records: the App Store transaction identifier and subscription status are kept without any link to your profile, so that the same subscription can't be claimed by a different account. These records contain an internal reference to the deleted account ID but no name, email, Apple identifier or profile data.
- Records of App Store notifications we received may keep the internal ID of the deleted account.
- Server logs and report emails already sent are not edited after deletion; they are handled as described below.
Server logs
Operational logs from our servers are used only for technical and security purposes, such as keeping the service running, troubleshooting errors and detecting abuse. We do not keep logs for extended periods by hand: they are deleted or rotated automatically in the normal course of operations, so they are not kept indefinitely.
Records kept after deletion
Player reports and unlinked App Store subscription records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for player safety, to prevent a subscription from being claimed by another account, and to meet our legal obligations.
Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel it in your Apple account settings.
Security
The app communicates with our servers over HTTPS. Requests are authenticated with a signed session token, access to App Store and Sign in with Apple data is verified with Apple, and the service applies rate limits to sign-in requests. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- Camera and notifications: turn access on or off in iOS Settings > FitGame. Without camera access you can't play camera games.
- Profile: edit your username, display name, avatar, region and goal in the app (username and region changes have waiting periods).
- Email: you can use Apple's “Hide My Email” when signing in.
- Blocking and reporting: block or report other players from the app.
- Deletion: delete your account in the app.
Children
FitGame is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created a FitGame account, contact us at manager@fractallc.com and we will delete it.
Privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information. You can delete your account and its data directly in the app, and you can update your profile at any time.
For any other privacy request — for example, to access, correct or get a copy of your information — email manager@fractallc.com from the email address associated with your account, or include your FitGame username. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as FitGame changes. We'll update the date at the top, and if a change is material we'll let you know in the app or on this page before it takes effect.
